All About Mrs. Tickle
Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I love being a member of the Ben Franklin Academy staff and have been at BFA since the school opened. I taught fourth grade for four years, two were BFA, and now I'm the K-5 technology teacher. Technology is important to BFA and I love helping effectively integrate technology into the hands of students at BFA.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in 2009 in Elementary Education from Purdue University. I also have my certification in Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Colorado at Denver, as well as a Masters in Information and Learning Technologies from the University of Colorado at Denver. In 2013, I also received an award for ‘Outstanding Student in the Program’ at the end of my
Masters program course work. This ILT program not only allowed me to grow with my own personal education, but it helped bring many of the latest ideas and projects related to technology into the classrooms at BFA.
As Colorado native, I love the outdoors as well as, being active and watching football. My family consists of my husband Cory, our kiddos Harper and Tanner, and our furry friends, Bettie and Clyde.
